I figured they would be coming your way, Manning. They have thinned out here a bit, but we are still catching some on the beaches. There is nothing like a tarpon on a fly, huh?
(For all of you who don't know what "Puglisi" is, Enrico Puglisi- a well known fly tyer who ties some pretty great innovative patterns) What does the "big frank" look like?

Was solo on gulf beach @1pm and spotted school. got ahead and threw mackeral puglisi but was refused.changed color to "big frank" puglisi and got the bite on a crossing pattern at 15ft. got wet for sure.at boat in 45 min and got my fly back. Earliest of the year. tarpon just now showing up in mobile bay. trout bite has been awesome and bull reds are thick on dixie bar.

What's the matter? Are none of you guys fishing? Small snook are a dime a dozen right now. Tarpon have moved into the bay (so have pompano). Permit are cruising wrecks and sandbars on the coast. Go get them and let us know how you did it.

Hey snookaholics, here is a little tip on how to catch more fish.... get your little fannies out to the beach. Thursday every one on the boat got the slam twice and we jumped 6 tarpon. Look for the big clumps of dark spotts, its not just grass googluck and keep the lines wet

Hey Snookaholics,
Black Drum are thick at the bridges in the bay. The best bite is coming at the end if the tide till all the way till it starts to move again. If you are fishing for other species and the bite stops head over to the bridges. (tools and tackle) = something to scrape the pilings, stout rod, half a crab, and send her down. Good Luck,

Fish Hard Or Go Home,
Capt. Alex

Tarpon are still holding strong at the bridges, this week should be even better with the strong tides. Snapper bite is starting to pick up and should keep rising as they are getting ready for the summer spawn. Any of those who want to shark fish there is an abundant of sharks on the flats.

Fish Hard Or Go Home,
Capt. Alex

For a good time call:
1800-Egmont Key.... There are a bunch of bonita schools that are running on the North Side of the Island. We had a blast on light tackle, catching bonita up to 18lbs! The pods will explode for about 30 sec. and drop back down so you have to be a "quick-draw." Don't be surprised if they spool your behind, have a driver ready when you hook up.
